The George F. Dittmann Boot & Shoe Company, or Dittmann Shoe Company, was founded in 1841 by George F. Dittmann in St Louis, Missouri. Its industry initially involved the retail and wholesale trade of shoes, later manufacturing its own extensive line of boots and shoes starting in 1866. Its operation remained in St. Louis, Missouri for the duration of its existence. The firm closed down business in 1924.
